Payment of insurance benefits
Death cover provides an insurance benefit to your dependants or legal personal representative in the event of your death, as long as you were a member of MTAA Super and had insurance cover at the time of your death. You may also be eligible to have your Death benefit paid to you if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Total & Permanent Disablement (TPD) cover
TPD cover provides an insurance benefit if you become totally and permanently disabled. Before paying a TPD benefit, the Trustee must be satisfied that the amount is able to be released from the Fund under super legislation.
Income Protection cover
Income Protection insurance provides you with a benefit, usually paid monthly in arrears, for a specified period, if you are unable to work after a qualifying period due to illness or injury.
How to make a claim
To make a claim for a Terminal Illness, TPD or an Income Protection benefit, call us on 1300 362 415.
